Public Carriage Office
The Public Carriage Office (PCO) is the body responsible for licensing taxicabs within Greater London. The PCO is part of Transport for London and is responsible for licensing the familiar London taxicab or “black cab” and also licenses private hire or minicab services.
CTA UK Member
The Community Transport Association, or CTA, is the national representative body of voluntary sector transport operators covering the whole of the UK. It is the UK’ s biggest provider of training and information on accessible, voluntary and community transport and has been in the forefront of promoting minibus safety for over 15 years.
Social Enterprise Coalition
The Social Enterprise Coalition is the UK’s national body for social enterprise. It represents a wide range of social enterprises, regional and national support networks and other related organisations.
REC
The REC is the representative body for the UK’s private recruitment and staffing industry with a membership of more than 8,000 corporate members comprising agencies and businesses from all sectors and 6,000 members of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) made up of recruitment consultants and other industry professionals. All members must abide by an REC Code of Professional Practice.
NCB
NCB is a charitable organisation that is dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of all children and young people across every aspect of their lives and providing them with a powerful and authoritative voice.
LPHCA
Trade Association representing Private Hire Vehicle Operators. Private Hire Vehicles (PHV’s) are controlled by Licensed Private Hire Operators, which unlike Taxis, cannot be publicly hired in the street and must be pre-booked through a Licensed Operator.
BILD Member
The British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD) is a national charity committed to improving the quality of life for the 1.2 million people in the UK with a learning disability.
