ISA Checks

ISA security check

The Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) carries out checks to verify the suitability of candidates coming into contact with children or vulnerable adults. However, unlike CRB checks, individuals can apply for ISA-Registration from July 2010 onwards, but initially only through an employer when applying for a new post. It will be a legal obligation for persons coming in contact with children or vulnerable adults to be ISA Registered.

From the 26th July, the new combined CRB/ISA application forms will start. By November 2010 it will be a legal requirement for all new job applicants working with children or vulnerable adults to be ISA registered and employers will be obligated to check ISA-registration before appointing into a regulated position.

If you are thinking of working with children, voluntary or paid, or are employing people to start working in September, it makes good sense to contact us now on 020 8469 0099.
